Track 14 of Mashup the Hedgehog mellows things out with Nierlise Gestalt.

Instead of the usual blood-pumping, fast-paced Sonic music, I took a song from the radically different Sonic 2006, My Destiny (by Donna de Lory) and mashed it with several Square Enix JRPG songs; Song of the Ancients (Popola) from Nier, Song of the Farseers from Final Fantasy XIII-2, Kimi ga Irukara from Final Fantasy XIII and Suteki da Ne from Final Fantasy X.

Princess Elise seems so out of place in a Sonic game. When I watched the opening cutscene for 06, I seriously thought it was a Final Fantasy game until Sonic came in. My Destiny sounds more like a Squeenix song too, so I guess that’s my rationale for making this mashup.
